March For Our Lives

I appreciate everyone who is peacefully exercising their First Amendment right and Marching for their Lives. While I don’t agree with everything they propose, I respect their decision to protest the gun violence and demand change, though most Americans don’t agree with a gun ban. Everyone wants to prevent mass shootings, but banning guns, ultimately will not prevent these violent attacks. Gun owners are responsible with guns, using them for hunting and self-defense. It’s criminals who want to harm other individuals that cause these attacks. They’re going to do what they want to do whether guns are legal or not. They’re criminals, they don’t care about laws, clearly.

While protests are a great way of making a point, making a change requires action not just talk. It also requires finding common ground with those of the opposite views.
